
Helmholtz Munich
The Helmholtz Zentrum München is a research institution of the Federal Government and the State of Bavaria within the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres, the largest scientific organisation in Germany. The Helmholtz Association is a community of 15 scientific-technical and biological-medical research centres.
HMGU experts participating in the MICROBE project:
- Michael Schloter is a scientist at the Environmental Health Center at Helmholtz Munich. Since 2011, he is leading the Institute for Comparative Microbiome Analysis. The focus of his work is to investigate the relationships between microorganisms in the environment, the human microbiome and our health.
- Pamela Espíndola-Hernández is a post-doctoral researchers at the Comparative Microbiome Analysis group and working on applying various methodologies, elicidating microbial components of complex environmental samples in order to identify relevant "microbial keystone taxa".
