EPSO Workshops

EPSO, the European Plant Science Organisation, is an independent academic organisation with about 70 institutional members. MICROBE started a cooperation with EPSO and the working group "Plant and Microbiomes". 

Up to now two workshops have been organised whereby the first one has been held on 6th of March 2024 and the second on 5th of June 2024. Both have been implemented as virtual events. 

The 1st workhsop has been dedicated to identify, define and rank pre-analytical variables to be considered, standardised and/or documented as metadata when performing plant microbiome studies. Thus the title of this 1st workshop has been "Pre-analytical phase and pre-analytical variables relevant for microbiome analysis of plant samples".

The 2nd workshop has been dedicated to elaborate requirements and recommendations for the individual pre-analytical variables for plant microbiome samples. Title of the 2nd workshop has been "Requirements/recommendations for the pre-analytical phase of plant microbiome samples".
