Competence Unit Bioresources of the Center for Health & Environment develops new technologies and tools aimed at increasing the exploitation of plant and microbial resources and more efficient detection of environmental pathogens.
AIT experts participating in the MICROBE project:
- Tanja Kostic is a senior research engineer at AIT and the scientific coordinator of MICROBE. She studied microbiology and specialised in developing DNA-based tools for the detection and characterisation of microorganisms in different environments. She has participated in various national and international projects and has extensive experience in research collaboration with industry. Her current research focuses on the food system microbiomes.
- Livio Antonielli is a bioinformatician and data analyst, mainly working on microbial communities and (meta)genome sequencing.
