MICROBE Workshop - Nagoya for Beginners

Monday, 11th December 2023, 10:00 - 12:00 (CET)

Do you work with biological material from other countries and have heard about the Nagoya Protocol or Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS) rules? Or maybe you are still not sure if it is relevant to you and your research?

During this workshop, we will go step by step through what researchers need to know and do to be compliant with any obligations stemming from the Nagoya Protocol and the EU ABS regulation.

The workshop is organized by our project beneficiary Leibnitz Institute DSMZ, Germany.

MICROBE Workshop - The concepts of Keystone taxa and Core Microbiome

Monday, 15th January 2024, 8:00 - 13:00 (CET)

Recent studies have proven the importance of microbiomes for life on Earth. However, we lack a clear mechanistic understanding what are the determining factors of how microbiomes are formed, how they interact, and how (meta)phenotypes of microbiomes change in time and space, as most of the data which is available is based on cultivation-independent molecular analysis of microbiomes and correlation-based analysis.

Our aim is to bring together a diverse audience of scientists and experts to discuss different definiations of "keystone taxa" and/or "core microbiota".

the workshop is organized by our project beneficiary Helmholtz Zentrum Munich, HMGU, Germany.
